A familiar face on television, Alice is perhaps best known as the presenter of BBC1's The Heaven & Earth Show, the BBC consumer series Watchdog, with Anne Robinson, and Five's Hot Property. Alice joined the BBC in 1987. A trained journalist, producer and director, her strong consumer background found her working on a diversity of popular shows, including That's Life, Kilroy and Gloria Live.
After leaving Watchdog, Alice took to her role as a "roving reporter", appearing on Holiday Hit Squad, Healthcheck, Face Value and Real Rakeovers, as well as reporting for the successful Holiday and Summer Holiday programmes. An experienced and versatile presenter, Alice has also fronted Channel 4's Show Me the Money, and BBC1's 4x4, Families at War with Vic and Bob, The Boat Show, This Morning, City Hospital and The Wright Stuff.
Equally at home as a radio presenter, Alice has also co-hosted LBC's Breakfast Show with Simon Bates. From there she moved to her own lunchtime consumer show on BBC London Live. Alice's journalistic skills are as sharp as ever, and she regularly contributes to a variety of newspapers, magazines and corporate publications.
Alice has also published A Contented House with Twins, (co-authored with baby guru Gina Ford) a humorous and insightful account of her experiences as a hands-on mother of twins.
