Charlotte Tilbury's career as a make-up artist spans over 20 years of working with the leading lights of the fashion and beauty industry. She is widely recognised as one of the best and most hard-working make-up artists in the business and is trusted by some of the most discerning and beautiful faces in the world. Her client list includes Kate Moss, Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, Kristen Stewart, Gwyneth Paltrow, Eva Mendes; designers such as Stella McCartney, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Tom Ford, Etro, DSquared2 and Roberto Cavalli; photographers such as Mario Testino, Mert & Marcus and Terry Richardson; fashion tomes such as global Vogue, Love magazine, Vanity Fair, Pop & i-D; as well as fashion influencers such as Anna Dello Russo, Katie Grand and Carine Roitfeld.

Charlotte is a regular Vogue cover and fashion feature contributor and is the only make-up artist to have worked on the British, US and Paris September issue Vogue covers in the same year. She is responsible for some of the most iconic Vogue cover looks, from the Kate Moss Castaway shoot of 2001 to the first time Adele was featured on the cover of British Vogue in 2011. In July 2017 Charlotte was announced as a Contributing Editor of British Vogue.

Her passion for make-up started when she was just 13 years old, through her first discovery of mascara. Ever since then she has been a passionate advocate of the power of make-up to transform not only a woman's features but also her confidence and outlook. She grew up between London and Ibiza and it was here that Charlotte met the inspirational make-up artist Mary Greenwell, who encouraged her to train at the Glauca Rossi School of Make-Up. Charlotte earned her make-up stripes in the fashion industry during the 1990s, the era of the supermodels. This has had an enduring influence on Charlotte and shaped her belief that, no matter what the trends of the day, every woman should leave the make-up chair feeling beautiful, empowered and confident. To this day, she is a very visible force in the beauty and make-up industry and is regularly seen behind the scenes at the leading New York, Milan, London and Paris fashion shows as a Featured Make-up Artist.

In November 2018 Charlotte was awarded an MBE by Her Majesty The Queen, for services to the beauty and cosmetics industry during her 26-year career.
