Dubbed as the next Ray Mears, Chris burst onto the public stage with his appearance on Channel 4's hit show Shipwrecked Battle of the Islands.
Chris spent 5 months living on a deserted island, during which time he endeared himself to fellow castaways and TV viewers alike with his warm personality and determined spirit.
As a founder member on his island community, and one of the main faces of the show, Chris was forced to deal with many stressful situations, which included heading a project to construct a unique house, built exclusively from materials found in the castaways' immediate surroundings. Chris's DIY knowledge and strong survival skills ensured that he was a natural leader.
An all round action man with a taste for extreme sports, Chris has bungee jumped and skydived over Las Vegas, and sea kayaked and river rafted on bamboo. He recently took part in The Gumball Rally.
Chris is an accomplished snowboarder and land-boarder, a keen horse rider and a qualified open water diver, having dived with sharks in the Caribbean. He has also trekked through the jungles of Northern Thailand to spend time with the Hill Tribes - living on a staple diet of crickets, bamboo worms and scorpions!
Chris has also appeared in numerous magazines including posing naked in Cosmopolitan for the charity Every Man Cancer Research! He has played in two celebrity soccer charity matches.
Chris's childhood on the Isle of Man has left him with and enduring love of the countryside. He has a good working knowledge of farming (with experience mainly in sheep and lambing) and rural issues remain very important to him.
Off-screen, Chris is currently working for the WA Group, having gained previous site experience in a variety of roles in the Isle of Man, Spain and London. He joined WA in January 2006, as a Trainee Site Manager on a £1.6million conversion of a 1910's building into state-of-the-art offices; making a rapid progression into sole Site Manager. Following this, Chris moved into the project management side of the company as he was eager to learn further fields within the construction industry. Later that year Chris qualified with credit as a Level 2 AutoCAD Technician and has since used this skill to provide a variety of drawings for both commercial and residential projects here in England and Dubai. This year, Chris has taken the role as WA's Lead Designer using 3D virtual images and video to present exciting new projects.
