Emily Hartridge

TV Presenter

Emily is a talented, enthusiastic and multi-skilled new face who is breaking into the presenting world. After finishing her A-levels in Theatre Studies, Religion & Philosophy and PE and achieving a degree in Sociology & Early Childhood Studies she began modelling for a top agency. After university she also did some hands on work in TV production before embarking on her passion for presenting. Emily has been trained in autocue and interviewing techniques and is looking forward to utilising her talent and skills in whichever project she will take on next.

Earlier this year, Emily took part in the MySpace search for a new MTV News presenter. From over 2,000 video entries, Emily was one of 100 people invited to audition and she made it down to the final 6. The presenter search proved so popular that MTV decided to make a TV series about it. Pick Me MTV was screened on MTV One in April.

Emily has achieved grade 7 singing (mezzo soprano) having been professionally trained for 4 years, which lead to her regularly performing in open mic nights in London. She is a talented actress, having attended drama classes throughout her school days and was chosen to perform at various festivals around the UK for a number of years before going to university. At university she was chosen for lead roles in The Importance of Being Earnest, Jane Eyre and in Michael Frayn's Noises Off.

As well as being a talented actress, Emily is a sports enthusiast. She has competed at county level in gymnastics and athletics and is also a professional horse rider having competed in cross country, dressage and showing jumping. She regularly participates in swimming, tennis and skiing and loves to scuba dive, which lead to her achieving an Open Water PADI qualification.

In addition to her passion for acting, singing and sporting activities, she has a huge enthusiasm for celebrity knowledge/showbiz gossip and a vast array of different music.
