Suzanne Shaw is a true all-round entertainer who has spent more than three decades in the spotlight — from child actor and chart-topping pop star to West End leading lady, television presenter, reality TV champion and, more recently, a hugely influential voice in the world of health, fitness and wellbeing.

Suzanne made her professional television debut at just 12 years old, appearing in the BBC children's drama Elidor. From there, she built an impressive early acting CV with appearances in City Central, The Courtroom and Holby City.

Then, in 2001, came the audition that would change everything. Suzanne won a place in ITV's groundbreaking Popstars, beating thousands of hopefuls to become one fifth of the newly formed Hear'Say. The group exploded onto the music scene, with their debut single becoming the fastest-selling non-charitable single in UK chart history, selling more than 1.3 million copies. Hear'Say went on to score two Number 1 records and four Top 10 hits, headline a hugely successful UK tour, perform at the Royal Variety Show alongside Elton John and even front their own Saturday-night series, Hear'Say It's Saturday.

When the group split in 2003, Suzanne proved she was far more than a pop star. She returned to her first love — acting — and embarked on a hugely successful career across West End theatre, national tours, television, presenting and production.

Her stage career has seen her take on some of musical theatre's most iconic roles, including Roxie Hart in Chicago in the West End, earning a nomination for Best Takeover in a Role at the What's On Stage Theatregoer's Choice Awards. Other major credits include Summer Holiday, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Rocky Horror Show, White Christmas, The Vagina Monologues, Funny Peculiar, Baggage and About Miss Julie. She has also become a familiar and much-loved face of British pantomime, taking on leading roles in productions across the country.

On screen, Suzanne has guest starred in The Bill and Holby City, appeared in the online series Five-a-Side and spent three years as series regular Eve Jensen in ITV's Emmerdale.

In 2008, she added another major title to her CV when she won Series 3 of ITV's Dancing on Ice. Her skating success saw her return for the show's final All Stars series, as well as taking part in three national arena tours.

Suzanne is equally at home in front of a camera as she is on stage. Her presenting credits include regular appearances as a panellist on ITV's Loose Women, presenting Bingo Lotto alongside Joe Pasquale and becoming part of the regular competition team on This Morning.

But Suzanne's career hasn't stopped at performing. She has developed an impressive body of work behind the scenes, working as Creative Producer for the UK tour of Professionals on Ice, Assistant Director on Cinderella and part of the original creative team behind Eugenius The Musical. She also created, wrote and produced the TV pilot The Cast, which later evolved into Save Our Savoy, starring Sally Phillips.

In recent years, Suzanne has embarked on perhaps her most personal reinvention yet.

Since 2020, she has transformed her own lifestyle — quitting alcohol, adopting a plant-based diet and discovering a passion for running — and has taken her audience along for the journey with an honest and refreshingly unfiltered approach to health and wellbeing.

What began as a personal journey has grown into a powerful platform. Suzanne has become an established voice within the health and fitness world, particularly the running community, working with leading brands including Mizuno, for whom she remains an ambassador, as well as Pikt Fresh, Lyre's, Body Camp, UNLTD and La Fauxmagerie.

She has also represented major household names including Barbie by Mattel, Kellogg's, Michelle Mone Lingerie for Asda, Canva Holidays, Peugeot and Yahoo.

After qualifying as a life coach in 2022, Suzanne took things a step further, creating her own online wellness community, The Happy Health Club. With thousands of members, the platform brings together fitness, wellbeing and community through live classes, alcohol-free coaching, cook-alongs and expert Q&As.

Suzanne is now a sought-after speaker, sharing her experiences of reinvention, wellbeing, sobriety, fitness and finding happiness on her own terms. Her keynote appearances include the National Running Show, Festival of Sport, Mental Health Awards, VegFest, Wellness Festival, The Big Retreat and major industry conferences.

She is also the host of the podcast Dare to be Happy, with Season One available across all major podcast platforms.
