Dan Hatfield is a third-generation pawnbroker from Sheffield who has been working in the industry for over 25 years, cementing his position as a trusted and reputable international dealer. On top of pawnbroking, Dan is a qualified diamond grader and an antiques and luxury items specialist. In 2014 Dan and his company London Road Jewellers, were cast in Posh Pawnbrokers on Channel, which ran with Dan at the helm for over 70 episodes.

In 2021, ITV commissioned a brand-new series, Million Pound Pawn, which followed Dan and two other world-leading pawnbrokers as they did multi-million pound deals on everything from helicopters to rare Patek Philippe watches. The show ran for two primetime series and a Marbella special.

Since early 2022, Dan has been This Morning's (ITV) regular money-making guru (their words not his). His regular Trash or Treasure phone-in is one of the show's most popular items and his weekly advice is helping the nation survive the current cost of living crisis. Dan and the core on-screen talent for the show picked up the NTA for Best Daytime Show in 2025.

Dan is a regular contributing expert for numerous print publications - The Sun, iNews, Daily Mirror, Daily Express, The Metro, Big Issue, Good Housekeeping and many more. In February 2024, Dan's first non-fiction book, Money Maker, was published by Hodder Catalyst, an imprint of Hodder & Stoughton limited, a Hachette UK company.

In May 2024 Dan started a bi-weekly column for The Daily Mail, Modern Treasures. He helps the nation uncover items of worth from around their homes and it was such a success that by October 2024 they asked if he could make it into a weekly column.

Dan is also a regular contributing expert on BBC Radio stations across the nation.
